Off to the Wilderness

Hey guys! Just a quick post to ask for your prayers this next week. I, along with several others, are heading to the mountains of Colorado for Wilderness Trek, and a weeks worth of hiking, repelling, more hiking, rafting, hiking some more, etc. I've wanted to do this for several years, and this year I get my chance. I am sure to have some great stories to post when I return.

We fly out of ATL tomorrow afternoon, and will arrive back to Mtgy about 10:00 p.m. the following Saturday, July 9.

Unfortunately Laura is not getting to go, and this will be our first week apart since we got married. I'm not looking forward to that part of the trip at all.

Please pray for all of us on the trip that we might experience God in ways unavailable in the big city.

Have a great 4th!

Of course, the most important prayer all you fellow bloggers can pray is for Baron's & the others' safety. But please remember me in your prayers too. I already miss him terribly, and he just left this morning! I had no idea how much I would miss him. Hopefully it will get better after the first night. Anyhow, sorry to be so cheesy, but I can't help it that I love my husband!!

Pray there are no more missed flights... I'll leave ti to Baron to fill you in...

And pray for NO MORE BUGS!!! My sis' bug-killing hero has left her to the sleepless torture of the creatures of the night!!

Yes...I now have a great bug story that involves a roach the size of Texas. It was on the crown molding in my bedroom, which means of course that I couldn't reach it. If Baron had been here, he could have reached it & killed it for me [sigh]. But I finally mustered up the courage to fight the grotesque being. The story about my triumphal massacre is too lengthy to share here. Perhaps at another time I can share my heroic tale.

Well, is Baron lost in the Wilderness somewhere, or did he and Laura get eaten alive by killer, Texas-sized cockroaches?

Yeah, Baron's been back for about a month now, but he hasn't posted any updates yet. I hope none of you thought he was really lost in the wilderness. Funny story, though: he went on wildnerness trek and came back without any illnesses or injuries, and then he goes to work in his mom's backyard and gets poison ivy ALL over himself. Yuck.
